This document is a pictorial guide on how to convert your Kango 426 drill case into a motion tracker (MT) from the movie Aliens. You will need other accent pieces in order to complete the prop. These pieces are presented in the appropriate sections below.
First you need to acquire a Kango 426 hammer drill. You can find them on ebay from time to time. Once you get it, you have to go through the messy task of gutting the drill. You will need circlip pliers and other tools to remove the drill motor and other mechanicals from the drill casing. What you are after is all of the drill casing and screws for the case.
Once you have gutted the drill and cleaned up all the grease from inside the case (and there is quite a bit), then you will have a hollowed out drill case. This tutorial assumes you have finished this task.
